Tier 3 Battlecruisers – The Full Stats List

Earlier today, someone (I think it was robo-blogger Ripard Teg) posted some raw date pulled from the test server on the supposed upcoming changes in the winter expansion on Twitter. Included were some tasty goodies like what looks like the much anticipated buff to Gallente (velocity buff, fittings buff for hybrids, etc), awesome-sauce like new T2 ganglinks, and a highly needed velocity and agility buff to Guardian-Vexors, so the 3 individuals who own those particular 40billion isk cruiser hulls and never ever undock in them should be pleased.

Also in the data however, were the full and complete (as of now) stats list for the drool-tastic new tier 3 Battlecruisers. These new shinys boast a Battlecruiser hull with BattleSHIP sized weapons, a notion that has every Orca-using ninja in Eve giggling like its Christmas.

After going through the somewhat hard-to-distill pastebin of the raw data, I decided to cobble together a full stats lists for these new ships in a much easier to absorb format, similar to what you would see in an info window in-game. So without further ado, I present to you, my new favorite ships in Eve, the Winter Expansion tier 3 Battlecruisers.

(NOTE: These stats are from raw data pulled from the test server. It is best to assume that these are a work in progress at CCP and this post should be taken as such. This is intended as a sneak peak as to what these ships will PROBABLY end up being.)

The base warp speed and inertia modifier stats I can’t actually find in the data (all the stats have vaguely different names in the raw data), but the full pastebin is here if you’d like to go through it yourself.

For added internet-spaceship nerd-love, a few pictures so far of the new ships:

Go hang yourself Incarana, looks like this winter’s expansion is shaping up to be one of the coolest one since Apocrypha.

UPDATE: It’s been brought to my attention that resist percentages displayed as decimals in the raw data in fact mean the opposite of what they appear to be in terms of “actual resist percentage”. For instance, o.75 armor kinetic resists on the Naga does not actually mean a 75% resist for kinetic armor, but rather 25% resist. This makes a TON of sense, seeing as the stats I posted before were better than most T2 hull resists. The changes have been made above, and thanks to those who pointed it out.

  1. Me so happy! 🙂 I am so glad I’ve spent the last 2 years cross-training all four races, now I can fully enjoy all four of these bad boys! WoOt

    • Totally. I’ve been weeping joyous tears of spaceship-love all afternoon. Whats really getting me is that Talos basically looks like a mini-Vindicator that fits in an orca, which is pretty much making me drop all current training plans immediately and get on the large t2 blasters train.

  2. Those armor resist numbers have to be off. That is T2 resists or better.

  3. The resists work in reverse, so 0.8 =20%, 0.6 = 40%, etc

  4. […] Edit:  Full Stats can be found here: https://aidenmourn.wordpress.com/2011/10/25/tier-3-battlecruisers-the-full-stats-list/ – Remember, these are just initial testing stats.. they are very much subject to […]

  5. I’m curious about the Naga stats, which list 8 launcher hardpoints and no turret hardpoints, why then does it have Hybrid bonuses?
(Presumably it should have turret hardpoints, if so then how many?)

    • Whats important to keep in mind is that these new ships were never actually placed physically into SiSi, but rather their stats were included in the general raw data that consists of the rough draft of the winter expansion that was injected into the test client. My guess is, there will absolutely be some balancing going on before these hit the game. For instance, yes, the Naga has bonuses to two different weapons groups, as well as one more fittings slot than any of the other proposed new BCs. Or why does the Oracle, an unquestionable sniper platform, have the lowest targeting range of the group?

As the stats show now, the Naga is the odd man out in terms of “role”. The Tornado is a giant Vagabond, essentially. The Talos with its web and Hybrid damage bonuses acts like a baby Vindicator, and the Oracle looks suited to take over as the king of laser snipers. The two different weapons groups and bonuses on the Naga make me think the powers that be might squeeze it into more of a role akin to the others.

  6. […] shamelessly stolen from “Finders Keepers” here:  https://aidenmourn.wordpress.com/2011/10/25/tier-3-battlecruisers-the-full-stats-list/ – Be sure to stop by and thank Aiden for his […]

  7. I really dislike the Mini ship look, the Hurricane is so Mini but that Tornado makes me think of the Gallente BC.

Really disappointed it that look. Things I noticed as odd, the EM on the armor is low, the other ships have 8 hard points, Mini usually had 1 more then other races.

  8. Tornanado is now the upgraded Minmitar BC replacement for Hurricane/ Vagabond…..

3 shield mods, a speed mod and a scram/disruptor in mids, 2 tracking enhancers and a DCII in low , rigs will be an EM enhancer and 2 x sheild increasers and jam the Highs with whatever will fit for those large guns. Woooooot!!!!!

  9. missed a low……gyro stab….my bad…or 1 tracking enhancer and 2 x gyro…whatever suits your fancy. 😉

  10. I really hope the base HP stats are bumped for all of these.

Compare the battlecruiser tier system to the battleship tiers.

Tier 3 battleships have more base HP in structure, armor, and shield then tier 2, and tier more than tier 1. For example with the Naga:

    Structure HP: 2111
    Armor HP: 2597
    Shield HP: 2597

Compare this to the Stats even on a Ferox:

    Structure HP: 3906
    Armor HP: 3419
    Shield HP: 4883

Considering in addition the base resistances are the exact same, and this hull would lack the 5% per level skill shield resistance bonus the Ferox and the Drake both enjoy; these base HP stats would make tier 3 battlecruisers very squishy indeed.

I do hope they will change the base stats to reflect more of what they have done in the battleship tier lineup, I really would like my Naga to have more than 40,000 EHP!

  11. awesome im diggin that i did that cross train aswell, lol on that gyro. was thinking id rather have 1+1 on that then 2+ tracking. awsome!++ since they put ship spin back in!

  12. Awesome face.

Already writing up my own speculations on the new ships :D.
